Test Day

Well, it's over. Thank God.

I PASSED!!!

It must have been all of your prayers and well wishes that helped me. Cause even though I studied like crazy, I have no idea how I passed.

But, I did. And, that's what matters.

I finished the courses. I passed the tests. I affiliated with a broker.

Now. . . as I'm sitting here, thinking about my future, I realize that the one thing they didn't teach in class was how to sell a house.

Something is wrong with this picture.

YEAH! I guess some things are still learned through good old fashioned trial and error.

Congratulations!!! What an ordeal!!
You'll do great - you're smart and hard working (as is anyone who waits tables! Hard job.) and... a great writer!! A very important aspect of house-selling.

YAY YOU!!!

I am SO proud of you!!!

You are asking how to sell a house...You can sell anything. Remember, you sell your service at a restaurant every night--and do a fine job of it. Just smile alot, compliment the children, tell them when you don't know something but will find out the answer, then accept the check and smile all the way to the bank. Love, mom

Congrats! You know you can ask me anything and I can give you some books on how to sell! I have been selling apartments for 7 years now, I kinda think I know what I'm doing. Just remember the fair housing laws! Love ya!

Congrats Chelsea!
We've had lots of realtors.
Be natural, be yourself, have fun, know your business and don't be pushy or obnoxious.
Talk about the houses to buyers in terms of 'yours' as if they already owned it... nod when you talk. (seriously) it's like waitressing, it puts a positive image in their head.
So proud of you!

Big Congrats!!!!! Way to go!!!

I don't have any experience selling a house, but I do have some experience in buying a house. My only tip, don't be pushy. I always hated when realtors were in our face as we looked at a house pointing out every tiny detail. Yes, some comments were needed, but I also just liked looking around and thinking. But that is me. I am sure other people like all the attention. And I am sure you aren't the pushy obnoxious type anyway!

Good luck!

Congrats! I'm not a realtor, but I've purchased a few houses. We've always done it long distance and power-hunted. I have a spreadsheet that I use whenever I see a house and our realtors are always amazed at how quickly we move when we have a checklist. This house was purchased after seeing about 30 houses in like 6-7 hours in three different cities. (2 minutes, literally, in houses we didn't like and 10 minutes in houses we did.)

If you want input from a buyers point of view, just email me or leave a comment (moderated so nobody will see it). Seriously.

Congrats!
