Not Too Soon, I Hope

During a game of Go Fish

Maddie: "How old are you, Daddy?"

Justin: "32, I'll be 33 in March."

Maddie: "Mommy, how old are you?"

Me: "30, I'll be 31 in January."

Justin: "We are getting old."

Maddie: "Yeah- you are old. That means you are gonna die soon."

Thanks for the confidence, kid.

Hahaha - nothing like a kid to make you aware of your own mortality, huh? :)

Yep, they are already planning our deaths. I heard my kids talking and nonchalantly said to each other...yeah if mommy dies during the day, we'll just call daddy and tell him. They thought that was a good plan...I laughed so hard, it was like nothing to them.
