Glorious Tomorrow

I should be remembering all the good times we had this Christmas season. Because we did.

I should be sad that it is ending so soon. Because it is.

I should not be doing my happy dance. But I am.

Maddie starts back to school tomorrow.

And my Christmas break begins.

Disclaimer: I loved spending time with her but seriously- I'm tired. From traveling, to parties, to cooking endlessly, to playing with all of her toys, to keep reminding myself to say "Santa" instead of "I" when discussing her toys, to play dates, to plays, to everywhere in between- we both need a break. And school is just the place to take her.

Oh, yes...right there with you...putting 5 kids back on the bus this morning never felt more vacation-like...

I was excited this morning to drop the boys off at daycare so that I could go to work.

I get this post.

nothing wrong with it at all.

I think everyone feels that way. Even we homeschooling moms. It means they have something to keep them occupied. I was so sick of my son & his "I'm bored..", even though he got a gazillion toys for Christmas.

Hurray for public school! Mine goes back tomorrow - in our school the teachers need a day by themselves to organize and the kids go back on Tuesday. I think they secretly just need a day by themselves! I'll bet school is a madhouse the first day back....but they should sleep good tonight!!!! I let mine stay up late while on vacation - that way I had a few hours of peace each morning!

YES - I enjoyed the peace and quite in my house today - it was a nice vacation, but I was ready for school to start too!

Happy New Year to you and your family!
