I was tagged for by Amy for this 123 book meme. Sounded like fun because Justin and I are involved in a couples Bible study, and we are studying a really cool book.
Here are the instructions:
1. Pick up the nearest book ( of at least 123 pages).
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people
The book I'm reading is The Life You've Always Wanted by John Ortberg. I have to admit that I haven't made it that far in the book, and I'm not really sure what this is going to be about. Here goes:
Perhaps the least-practiced form of servanthood today is what Bonhoeffer called "the ministry of holding one's tongue."
Often we combat our evil thoughts most effectively if we absolutely refuse to allow them to be expressed in words. . . It must be a decisive rule of every Christian fellowship that each individual is prohibited from saying much that occurs to him.
Hhhhhmmmm. I think that is exactly what I needed to read today. Funny how that works, huh?
Now, for the tagging. . . I tag SarahO, Latte Mommy, My Sassy Pants, and whoever else wants to do it. I didn't tag 5- oops.

Maybe i should try that!!
Yes ... it is funny out that works sometimes. One time I was in great distress (a few years back), grabbed my bible, got in my car and drove up to a nearby church. I prayed to God about my worries and then opened my bible - looking to see if the first words I read would answer my problem at hand. The verse I read was the one about "Pride cometh before the Fall" and could not have been more appropriate for that moment in my life. I continued to flip through the books of the bible and continued to be offered verse after verse that answered my prayers about God taking the anger from my heart and carrying the burden for me - it was an amazing night. I wrote the events of that night down and noted all those verses so I would never forget that night and how God works. He works constantly - it is amazing. Take care and have a great Wednesday. I wish I would of read this post before my date night. I spent the whole evening spewing whatever came to my pretty little head (which was a lot of unsolicited parenting advice).
My poor husband. I must go undo all the harm I caused.
Thanks for participating.
Ok, I am off to the library to find a book that doesn't have "Fancy Nancy" anywhere in the title, haha. Thanks for tagging me, this looks like fun!
Thanks for the tag! I posted my 123 post just now, if you want to read it!
